Here & Now - J.Crew graphic tee
Picture heavy, word light post today. I wore this outfit to brunch with my lady friends & it was one of those ensembles that I just felt GREAT in, for no reason in particular. Some how the combination of these pieces just clicked.

Speaking of brunch… The Nashville brunch scene is ON POINT these days… add South to your must-try list, the bottomless bloody's are the beginning to your next Sunday Funday.

Also, what are we calling these shoes? Mules? Shooties? Peep toe booties? This is like the shoe version of that that confusing wine/oxblood/cranberry color debacle of a few years ago!

As I'm sure you all are already aware, this has been a freaky cool Spring, pretty much everywhere (except Austin, because that place is awesome!) So bringing "Spring" into my wardrobe has been less about shedding layers & more about injecting color. But I'm happy to report that I think I've finally found the perfect compliment to this punchy orange trench - chambray!
P.S. Did you catch how I styled my Levi's 501 shorts yesterday? I'm in the running to the Style Hunter's Levi's styling competition, & I greatly appreciate everyone taking a minute to vote for me! THANK YOU THANK YOU!

P.P.S. Today is the CAbi Big Event - CAbi is an amazing clothing brand that I was recently introduced to & instantly fell in love with. Find out more about this fun event here

P.P.P.S. Worn above are one of my most favorite pairs of Spring heels, from Sole Society last year. Not currently available, but I am loving these hot selections:

Weekend wear ready for anything!

I love this pair of shorts from Levi's - the 501 style. They come perfectly distressed & have a button fly (I love!). Fit tip: to get the look of looser "boyfriend" jeans, order 1 to 2 sizes up. I am usually in between a 26 and 27 & am wearing a 28 in these pictures.

Are you #equipped for Summer? Be sure to follow along with Levi's for great Summer Style Inspiration & stock up on Summer shorts too!

AND - please take a second to vote for my look over on the StyleHunters Page! After voting, you will get a coupon code to shop your favorite pair! Thank you in advance :)

the big event: CAbi

Top 3 things I love about blogging? Having a creative outlet. Meeting lovely people from around the world. Discovering new-to-me clothing brands. Today is about that third piece.
In the past, I have to admit, my shopping preferences were limited. If I tried something & liked it, I went back for it time & again. Never really going outside my preferred store bubble. Well, I must have been living under a ROCK, because once introduced to today's brand spotlight, it was love at first click! Enter CAbi.
Short for Carol Anderson by invitation, CAbi provides a unique, shopping experience.  I love that it is designed for REAL women, living REAL lives. Their clothes absolutely make sense for EVERYday life. Cabi offers two collections a year - think of it as your capsule wardrobe. A fabulous base for you to build on, mixing & matching to create all the outfits you need for work, play, & all that stuff in between.
CAbi is a "Consultation" based company as well. With 3,500 CAbi Consultants all over the United States, CAbi’s private home shows give you & your best girlfriends access to fabulous clothes, a trained personal fashion Consultant, & a great time.

Bonus: As a Consultant, women have a career without compromise, get a chance to work in the fashion industry, and are able to build fun, lasting relationships at the same time. CAbi’s simple business model is based on the balance of a woman’s busy life & has very real earning potential, with Consultants earning up to 33% commission with every sale.

CAbi has changed thousands of lives through the Heart of CAbi Foundation. With each show, CAbi Girls are able to encourage & empower women entrepreneurs as well as fund aftercare centers for girls rescued from sex trafficking in the developing world. The Heart of CAbi Foundation also works to distribute clothing to U.S. communities affected by natural disasters. To date, the Heart of CAbi Foundation, on behalf of Consultants and customers alike, has donated over $37 million in clothing and financial contributions to help women in need.
This coming Tuesday (4/29) CAbi invites you to experience the brand in a very special way - the Big Event.  Get to know this wonderful brand through a live broadcast at one of 30 locations, or from the comfort of your own home.  Engage with the incredible CAbi Community, hear from CAbi CEO, Lynne Cote, & President and Chief Culture Officer, Kimberly Inskeep, about being a woman “on purpose,” see a sneak peek of the upcoming St. Barths Collection, learn how you can make an impact through The Heart of CAbi Foundation, & explore how a business with CAbi will allow you the freedom & flexibility to put first things first. To learn more & RSVP for the Big Event, head right this way.

What might be my favorite pieces from the Spring collection? Glad you asked!
The far left skirt & dress next to it are the same REVERSIBLE piece - yep, 4 looks from 1 item! And I can't ever pass up a stylish striped blazer or chic woven sweater! The lace tank on the far right is a MUST!

I love how CAbi clearly shows you how to take your pieces to many places in your life - a blazer for work & for weekends. A sweater for brunch & for creative business meetings. A lace tank for date nights & coffee with your mom.

What selections are on your radar for Spring?

word to your mother

Last month, I spent a wonderful morning with some of the loveliest ladies - Gracie of Miriam Designs, Jordan of fashionABLE & my girl, photographer extraordinaire, Zipporah.

Both Miriam Designs & fashionABLE are local, Nashville based businesses that are doing good both near & far. Be sure to read about their amazing businesses that support women, through employment, fair wages & equal opportunities (Miriam Designs & fashionABLE).

(all photos Zipporah Photography)
We all embraced the idea of collaborating on a Mother's Day project. Two businesses that empower women & make beautiful products that your mom would LOVE to be pampered with on May 10th… it was a perfect match!
We met up at the Miriam Designs jewelry studio for the shoot - natural light, adorable decorations (polaroids + washi tape anyone!), and gorgeous products made by inspirational women!
If you have yet to shop for your mommy dearest, don't worry, Miriam Designs and fashionABLE have teamed up to bring you one mother of a present - a bundle of a fashionABLE scarf + a piece of Miriam Designs jewelry. Shop all the bundles here.

Crushing on this dream sorbet colored scarf? Shop it here
Coral is so pretty for Spring & even into Summer (beach wrap, head scarf, get creative!). Shop the coral bundle here
So now that you've figured out what to get mom, maybe you should pick up something for yourself too!

P.S. Today is the last day to enter the Blogger Spotlight giveaway - an Amazon gift card!

P.P.S. See how I have collaborated with fashionABLE for the Conscious Consumerism series in the past.
