Here is a recent teacher outfit, still counting on cardigans to get me through these chilly mornings, but I refuse to bring back out the tights - I don't care if we DID see snow flurries in Nashville last weekend!

This dress is from Of Mercer, a brand that I love for high quality work clothes. I already had 2 of their dresses, both featured in my Teacher Capsule Wardrobe (black dress worn here, here, here // windowpane dress worn here & here), & was excited to add this pretty number from their recent collection. Every item I have from Of Mercer is meticulously tailored so that the dress is not only flattering but also comfortable & fuss free! I've only worn their dresses before, but I am excited that they now offer blazers (including this one that matches my dress!) & accessories!

Holy moly me oh my - we are 3/4 of the way through the school year & I can't believe I have almost survived my 2nd year of teaching! 

While currently on Spring Break this week, I am busy busy busy planning for a smooth 4th quarter & also applying for new jobs out West. Tyler & I have our sights set on Portland, Seattle or Denver, but we are allowing ourselves to just feel things out before we let our little hearts get committed to one city over another. 

I have never actually applied for a job before - the teaching job I have right now literally fell into my lap - & I am so thankful for my co-workers that are helping guide me through this process & my school's administrators who promise they will provide me with glowing references ;)

We have been talking about this move for so long - as in a, "one day when we leave Nashville we will go _____________ and do ______________ " (filling in the blanks as new dreams popped up from time to time), but now that it is upon us & we have a final date (our lease ends the first week of June!) I don't even know where to start. I should probably be focusing on getting a job first, but for some reason the only thing I have done is made a list of all the places we MUST TRY in Nashville before moving! Just added Bastion & Old Glory to the list... the problem with the list is that it keeps getting longer!

This is my 2nd piece from the by SMITH collection & they are certainly a brand I not only admire (made in America!), but feel freaking great in! Last Spring I styled this most amazing by SMITH skirt - full post here (the same cut of the skirt is still available, but in a fun new print!) & today I am back showing a dress from their 2016 Collection! This dress is pretty much my idea of perfection! Straps that perfectly hide your bra, a flattering fit & flare shape & POCKETS! I love that I can easily see myself wearing this dress for Easter, but also more casual events - as styled with my favorite denim jacket. I am happy to bring my blooming flower necklace back into rotation (last worn in this outfit from 2013) & know that this new clutch from Beau & Ro is going to be going every where with me this Spring - including our upcoming trip to Asheville!

Ok, I know I have been wearing a ton of baby blue + pink - but in my defense I totally warned you! **Apparently swimming pools aren't exactly open this time of year, & a huge shoutout to my lovely photog who helped me scout this location & get the shots - regardless of the tactics used! If I look a little nervous in these photos it is a combination of wearing my swimsuit for the world to see + sneaking into a stranger's pool!

Ok ok, I know that slipping on a swimsuit is the LAST thing on most of your minds - especially those of you still experiencing signs of Winter, but with Spring Break right around the corner (next week for meeeeeee!), swim suit season is going to be here before we know it & I can't wait any longer to tell you about my new swim obsession - Kortni Jeane!

I first noticed their eye-catching mix & match prints on Instagram, but it was a total love story once I tried on a suit for myself - the cutest prints & flattering cuts!

I got the peplum v-neck top (size XS) & the high waisted bottoms (size S). I certainly appreciate that you don't have to purchase the same size, or even the same print in the top & bottom styles! And they just launched a men's collection, super cute one-piece suits & new prints, including 2 cactus options that I want to wear for the rest of my life.
