game day

{ What I Wore: dress c/o Fringe & Lace// Old Navy faux leather jacket // Guise Archive sunglasses // ShoeDazzle heels, sold out (similar, budget option)}

I know that it probably isn't everyone's cup of tea, but growing up in the South (SEC Country), game day means dressing up. Because playing beer pong with your mom is just classier in a cocktail dress & pretty heels!
I tried to not put too many "back" shots for fear of grossing you out with my 2nd degree burn I'm sporting on my right calf. I now love & hate my fiancé's motorcycle. Probably more on the side of hate while my skin is still growing back!

So tell me, what does you game day attire look like?

P.S. Today is the last day to enter to win a $100 store credit to Fringe & Lace (where this pretty dress hails from!)

Day 18: bundle

{ What I Wore: J.Crew snood // H&M burgundy sweater // Old Navy rockstar skinny jeans & faux leather jacket // Frye boots // homemade clutch from a dear friend }
{ Get the look }
knit snood {$14.00} + knit beanie {$10.00} + sweater {$39.50 + 30% off) + faux leather jacket {$49.00 +30% off} + skinny jeans {$29.50 + 30% off) + tall boots {$79.00 + 20% off}
During warmer months, my cold-weather accessories hang out in their vacuum sealed bags (I am not playing around when it comes to moths) waiting for their turn in the spotlight.

This weekend I finally pulled out the remainder of my Winter gear - long forgotten hats + new Bobbi Brown lippy (True Pink), were the little things that brought joy to these past chilly days

Thank you ladies so much for your advice yesterday about what to wear to my first blogger function - I knew you fashionistas would have all the answers!
After another round of feedback on Instagram last night (I am such a mess), I found a winning outfit, and it completely took away the stress about being super awkward, now I'm just looking forward to meeting other Nashvegas bloggers!

After the break I have some serious issues to discuss: Pinterest

mint to be

Remember the mint jeans I was planning on purchasing with my tax refund? Well, I purchased them from Madewell, and then I purchased another pair from ModCloth... I might have a mint denim sickness! I fell in love with the Madewell pair, and then fell more in love with the cheaper, better fitting, shorter inseam ModCloth pair. I meant to take a picture of both pairs side-by-side, but was so infatuated with the ModCloth pair, that I sent the Madewell ones back with out a proper farewell.
I'm a happy girl with her new mint beauties!

 {Madewell ($125) Mint // ModCloth ($88) Mint}
Here are the two pairs I purchased. The Madewell pair was super soft, and had a great color, but that model must be about 6 feet tall, as I would have had to worn the pants around my armpits (petite girl problems)! The ModCloth pair was $30 cheaper, and was more of a true denim material, not to mention the actual true length of what a normal person would need.

 { Paige Mint Denim //ASOS Mint Denim //
Urban Outfitters Mint BDG Denim // Nordstrom Mint Denim }
I also rounded up these other options for you mint jean interested ladies - the styles I picked out range from designer prices (Paige Denim) to totally affordable options (under $60 for the ASOS and Urban Outfitters pairs!)

Old Navy bomber jacket {affordable option here}
ModCloth mint jeans
Tory Burch flats
StyleMint Jackson tee {sign up here}
I have only worn my new loves once, but I am already dreaming of how much these babies are going to get action this Spring and Summer!
Are you on the mint jean train?
What else are you lusting after for your pre-Spring shopping? (I need to cut myself off!)

dots on dots

Skirt Vintage Calvin Klein {similar}
Jacket Old Navy {similar}
Tank J.Crew
Boots (old) {similar}
Bracelets: House of Harlow, Lulu Frost for J.Crew (thanks best friend!), DIY
 Don't worry about my bare legs y'all, I swear it is warm enough for this in Nashville right now. I am actually very curious about what that cubby little groundhog is going to have to say in a couple of days - more Winter, or Spring time! I do enjoy a nice snow or two every winter, but I am not complaining about the extremely mild temperatures this Winter... bare legs on January 31st! What the what!?

 Sorry if I just made you colder climate folks jealous... Spring will be here soon enough!

everyday neutrals

Jeans - Gap (on loan from my {awesome} pregger sister)
Loafers - so OLD (high school!?) {similar}
Tank - BR
Cardigan - J.Crew
Jacket - Old Navy (Christmas Present) {similar}

If there ever is a day that I am not posting my awesome outfit here on the blog, it is because I am wearing my "uniform": skinny jeans + tank/button-down + cardi/jacket + flats. This is a typical example of that said uniform. It is cuter than my college sweatshirt and a hat, but just as comfortable, and functional enough for working in my lab (or playing with Doug).

And can I just give a quick shout out to these shoes - they have been with me since I bought them way back in high school from the shoe store my friend Molly used to work! Woah! It's like I knew loafers would be hott way back when (I am just going to pretend I am that cool!)
Do you have a daily "uniform"?
Do share! :)
