Cyber Monday Mixing

How was everyone's Thanksgiving weekend!
It was so lovely to unplug for the past few days & truly take a moment to take stock of everything I am so very thankful for & to surround myself with those I love.

And now we are back to it - greeting a new Monday & a new month…
With only 24 days until Christmas I am 1 part merry + 1 part frazzled!

While I currently am frustrated with 99% of my wardrobe (one of those weeks!), these are all pieces that I can't ever imagine being subjected to my epic closet purges. And look at how nice they all play together!

Bloggers Who Budget: Fall For Less

With the holidays coming up, most of my shopping budget is set aside for presents. So I love when I spot something that will go far towards sprucing up my own wardrobe without breaking the bank. Today I'm excited to team up with 7 other bloggers to show you looks created around budget friendly items.
{ What I Wore: Old Navy sweater // J.Crew Factory button down // Forever 21 pants (sold out) // Steve Madden pumps }
{Get the Look}
critter sweater {$25} + white button down {$32.50} + polka dot pants {$19.80} + nude heels {$54.95}
(total outfit = $132.25)
I picked up this Old Navy sweater on super sale & while it probably doesn't help the fact that I am 26 & still get carded for e-v-e-r-ything (including lotto tickets!) I love it & that's what matters in my book!

I also got these Forever21 pants for under $20 & was super impressed that they were not only fully lined, made of a thick, rich looking fabric & had the polka dots embroidered on (why I love the LOVE21 line the most!). For an extra $20 I got the waist taken in slightly & the legs tapered at the ankles by my dry cleaners... so $40 later these pants are fun & perfectly tailored for my body! Score!

warm fuzzies

{ What I Wore: sunglasses c/o Woodzee// J.Crew Factory hat & snood // leather jacket c/o Chicnova // Everlane tank // Old Navy Rockstar skinny jeans // boot socks c/o Legwear Loft// Steve Madden boots (love these!) }
This past week it was so hot that I started off with tights in the morning & removed them by mid-day, but it seems days like that are certainly numbered! To prepare for the nip of Winter coming my, I recently picked up a matching hat/snood/glitten set from J.Crew Factory, along with these boot socks that are sure to keep my tootsies warm!

I still have my eye out for the perfect {faux} fur snood & then I think my Winter preparations will be complete, what about you?

P.S. These sunglasses are made of WOOD & I couldn't be more obsessed!

P.P.S. Today is the last day to enter the Jeweler's Wife necklace giveaway!

Happy Monday. My brain is fried from a wild weekend, but I do have 4 random things to share:
{1.} I totally skipped Halloween this year, I think I'm too old for drinking holidays that fall on days that aren't Saturday. But I dressed in the colors of the season, so that counts right!?

{2.} Gigantic statement necklaces have their place, but I love this dainty necklace from INPINK. Score your own jewels with a 30% off coupon (code "HEREANDNOW30", expires 11/30/2013)

{3.} This past weekend I had the great pleasure of experiencing Raiford's Disco in Memphis... I definitely recommend it for anyone visiting... there is literally no other place like it.

{5.} Tis' the season for giveaways. I'm thrilled to bring you fabulous people another chance to win a $500 Visa gift card. This time brought to you by Sweet Lemon Magazine & a group of super talented bloggers that you should definitely befriend & put on your regular blog roll!

Take One

{ What I Wore: burgundy red Esprit fedora hat c/o Surfdome (similar here) // J.Crew blouse // DaisyGem necklace // Citizens of Humanity "Dylan" boyfriend jeans (similar 1 // 2 // 3) // "All in One" clutch c/o Gigi New York // BCBG Generation heels via TJ Maxx }
Check out more great clothing & accessories from Surfdome {here
Well, I am on day 2 of the "Take One, Pass it On" challenge & already failing. But in my defense some pretty crazy things happened. For the challenge I am supposed to take one item from my previous outfit & transform it into a new look. But right after I took yesterday's pictures, I bent over to pick up Doug's poop, & the butt cheek of my pants ripped open. Not just a little bit, like a whole lotta bit. Nothing quite like running down your alley holding a bag of poop, tripod, pug & the butt of your pants closed. As if my neighbors already thought I was crazy... suspicions confirmed.

So I took those pants & passed them onto the trash pile (let's be honest, my so called "mending pile" should just be the trash, because I haven't attempted to put a dent in it in months).

Never have I been so proud to own 2 pairs of near identical boyfriend jeans (yay for all the money I wasted saved while working for a boutique in college). So moving on, just imagine that these are the same jeans. To get over the other pair, I am personally pretending they are one in the same. We each mourn in our own ways really.
In happier news, my huge mug is currently gracing the home page of the fabulous jewelry shop DaisyGem & what that means for you is this:

Score $5 off my favorite necklace, featured in this outfit, with code "JESS5" or get 15% off your entire order using code "HERE15"
Have you mourned the loss of a favorite article of clothing recently?

P.S. Please take just a second to vote for me in the OnlineShoes competition {here}
It is oh so close & I am OH SO competitive ;) I just dare you to play me in Apples to Apples!

dancing in the rain

{ What I Wore: H&M felt hat // dress c/o Gentle Fawn // Forever21 sweater (see similar ones below) // Hunter wellies // JewelMint necklace }
Sometimes when faced with lots of options I have a difficult time making a decision.
But choosing the classic green Hunter wellies, it was a no brainer.

Thank you for all your votes in the OnlineShoes.com monthly blogger style face-off! Remember, you can vote every day until November 1st & it only takes 2 seconds! Help this competitive lady out ;)

Also, this month I won't be having a Blogger Spotlight because I am going to be putting myself into the hot seat to celebrate my 2 year blogiversary at the end of this week (where does the time go!?!?!)
If you have had any burning questions for me (life, blogging, fashion, pugs, whatevs), leave them in the comments or shoot me an email & I will try to incorporate the answers into Friday's post!
