Pieces in my closet only get to stay if they are team players that can work with many other pieces, for many different occasions. I wore this Ann Taylor dress with a leather jacket and heels for a recent blogger brunch, but it works equally well with flats and cognac accessories for warm weather explorations. Pretty blush pink dress - you're a keeper!
Sorry for talking about it ALL the time, but my whole life is basically focused on some aspect of our upcoming move this Summer, & let me just say that there is A LOT to focus on - finding jobs, selling furniture, figuring out how to fit all of our belongings into a Pod (any tips on that would be greatly appreciated!), & doing all the Nashville things with our friends before we leave! I've been spending time this past weekend making some serious decisions in my closet - when we are paying so much to move, I want to make sure that everything that comes with us is solidly in the LOVE category, & if it isn't, even just a little bit below complete LOVE, then it has to go (stay tuned for a Postmark sale soon)!
All of the items in this outfit have officially made the cut - especially this polka dot skirt, that is one of my favorite pieces to wear! From time to time I take my clothes to Clothes Mentor (like a Plato's Closet for adults), & while they were inventorying my pieces, I browsed the racks & this skirt called out to me! It is vintage Calvin Klein & fits me perfectly - AKA the fashion equivalent of the the heavens opening up & the angels singing. Nothing like taking in a pile of clothes & walking out with a magical skirt. That is a win in my book!

skirt: vintage Calvin Klein (found at my local Clothes Mentor) - just spotted this super similar style at J.Crew that is now 30% off, making it under $80!
This tee y'all - it is a new favorite that I have worn for weekend frolicking in Nashville, after work meetings, & way more than I would like to admit to my teaching job! I love that it is a really thick knit - totally reminding me of much more expensive St. James tees!
I am also interested in trying the new striped tees from Everlane (can you have enough striped tees!?!? Is that even a thing!?!?) - Have you given them a try yet?
This is the look of my weekend these days - thankfully Nashville has been so mild & we have been getting out to enjoy it!
I love these true blue bluejeans from the MiH jeans "body con" collection. I seriously have been living in them during the weekends!
Tyler asked me if "body con" mean that you conned people into believing that your body was banging, & I answered, "basically yes". And in these magical jeans, it is true! They are so comfortable, with the perfect stretch & I feel like I'm being swaddled like a baby!
Bonus - the don't loose their shape, and you can do anything in them!
Have I said it enough yet? My Fall motto is comfy yet chic. And I am so excited to be bring you another combo from Redesigned by Two that totally fits the bill (scroll down for a sweet giveaway too!)

These past few weeks, I have been feeling out of sorts. Between moving, starting a new job, & reuniting with the pugs after 2 months apart, my joy & passion for this space on the internet dwindled. I took the past week off from blogging for a combination of reasons, mostly because we didn't have intent in our new place yet, & also because I just didn't have anything that I was crazy about posting anything. I want this space to be a place were I get to share my loves, the things that I rave about to my best girlfriends, & I also want to let myself off the hook when I don't get around to posting 7 days a week. This is my happy place, I only bring my happy here, & somedays I just can't pretend that everything is happy & in order.
However, with the crisp of Fall in the air, I am rejuvenated for my wardrobe, accessories, & new beauty products. Paired with a fabulous Le Tote box arriving on my doorstep, this gorgeousness from Gigi New York, & a new magical location for photos with my talented photographer/friend Kate, I am refueled & ready to blog!
Happy Fall y'all! I am drooling over the serious eye candy Gigi New York just released in their Fall collection. I think the Hayden satchel is calling my name. Now to just make the major life decision - what color!?
