man repelling is an artform

Cheerio on this lazy Sunday afternoon. 

I just read an article about one of my (our) favorite bloggers and had to share. 

Are you a Man Repeller fan?

For those of you (my parents) who have never heard of this fashion paradigm, I have included the "definition" from The Man Repeller (Leandra) blog:

I think Leandra is so spot on. And apparently I am not alone, since her famous blog (2 Million hits a month!) earned her the Bloglovin' Blogger of the Year award just last month.

 After reading this new write up in Avenue Magazine today, I am even more convinced that this young lady (she is my junior so I can say that) is a true gem, that is not only down to Earth, but incredibly talented. I cannot wait to see what is in her future - wedding dresses, collaborations, and more harem pants!

 Being compared to a timeless fashion icon by a world famous designer... no words!

She is 1 part fashion, 2 parts saucy!

Inspiration for us all - be yourself (and wear fabulous shoes!)

Ok, the last time I was in the newspaper must have been back when I was an honor roll student, or maybe for my Debutante Ball, but now I am in the paper for being obsessed with Instagram

... my parents must be so proud!

Instagram is a force to be recognized, and I couldn't be more happy that the local Nashville paper, The Tennessean, took notice! There was even a meet up (Instagram Jam) for local Instagramers (IG-ers)! 

So much fun!

 We didn't make the front cover, but Doug and I definitely shine in all of our newspaper pixelated goodness on the inside. I just hope all of the fame isn't going to Doug's bulbous head!

Good morning, and TGIF!

Day 2 of my 30X30 Remix Challenge is here. I took Kendi's advice and pre-thought out outfits to create with my 30 items. This was one of the outfits that sounded good in my head, but I wasn't sure how it would look in real life... I think it works! I don't have to dress up for work, but I have always dreamed of working in an office that required me to wear pencil skirts and heels (maybe I watch too much Mad Men!) 

... and this is something I wouldn't mind wearing to that imaginary office!

(why, oh why did I think sharing a bathroom with a guy was a good idea!?)
