lady in trench

Good morning, and TGIF!
Day 2 of my 30X30 Remix Challenge is here. I took Kendi's advice and pre-thought out outfits to create with my 30 items. This was one of the outfits that sounded good in my head, but I wasn't sure how it would look in real life... I think it works! I don't have to dress up for work, but I have always dreamed of working in an office that required me to wear pencil skirts and heels (maybe I watch too much Mad Men!)
... and this is something I wouldn't mind wearing to that imaginary office!
Banana Republic Trench (snagged for a deal at the outlet last fall) {full price here}
J.Crew blouse and skirt {similar}
Jessica Simpson Heels {love these}
 What do you think? Does it work?
Day 2 down, only 28 more to go!
xx
Jessica

P.S. my super talented roomie Kiernan McMullen is opening for Mat Kearney tonight, and I get to be in Kiernan's entourage! Totally makes up for the mess he creates in the bathroom
(why, oh why did I think sharing a bathroom with a guy was a good idea!?)
Check out one of my favorite songs's of Kiernan's (good right!?)
P.P.S. Ty and I consider a Mat Kearney concert our first "official" date (back in October, 2009), and we are going to be attending tonight together... can't wait!

  3. Yes, Mat Kearney is amazing. And he is a local Nashvillian now, so I have had the luck of running into him (like literally... I'm awkward!) twice now!

  10. I thought the girls were supposed to remember dates, it was Oct 2009, not 2010. You're in trouble for that.

  12. This is the perfect working girl look! I would definitely wear this to the office (although my office is pretty casual too). I think it's cool that the challenge has already made you think outside your usual fashion box. :) Have a great time at the concert tonight with your man!
