Weekend wear ready for anything!

I love this pair of shorts from Levi's - the 501 style. They come perfectly distressed & have a button fly (I love!). Fit tip: to get the look of looser "boyfriend" jeans, order 1 to 2 sizes up. I am usually in between a 26 and 27 & am wearing a 28 in these pictures.

Are you #equipped for Summer? Be sure to follow along with Levi's for great Summer Style Inspiration & stock up on Summer shorts too!

AND - please take a second to vote for my look over on the StyleHunters Page! After voting, you will get a coupon code to shop your favorite pair! Thank you in advance :)

Madewell evolution

My heart aches for all those devastated by the the Oklahoma tornado, I am praying for comfort & healing to those mourning lost loved ones & a destroyed community.
If you are looking for ways to help,
text "storm" to 80888 to make a $10 donation to the Salvation Army
or "RedCross" to 90999 to make a $10 donation to the Red Cross
{ What I Wore: Boutique Onze striped dress // ShoeMint pumps // souvenir scarf from Venice }
{ Get the Look }
striped dress {$69.99} + Madewell scarf {$18.50} + belt {$12.99} + leopard shoes {a splurge but so cute!}
In college, I would say that my style was definitely "J.Crew". Preppy, classic, lots of pink + green.
I don't know if style blogging, growing up, or living in Nashville is the reason, but recently I have noticed that my style is trending toward being more "Madewell". Mixed prints, masculine + feminine pairings, & "global" accents.
So am I now "uptown"? Or was I already "downtown" & now I'm "midtown"?!
Well whatever it is, I better figure it out before I head to NYC next month (!!!!!)
That's RIGHT!
My sister & I are headed to New York City to go wedding dress shopping in June!
Before this, I have only been to the Big Apple for a few hours during a layover, so I am looking to you fashionably well traveled ladies to tell me everything that we need to do & see over the long weekend (June 21-24).

I am also thinking that I might need to save some time for a blogger happy hour while there,
so if you are in the area, stay tuned!
Is there a store that is your style aesthetic?
I would love to hear if others share this way of defining their style too!

P.S. Don't forget to enter the giveaway for a $50 gift card to Lisa Leonard's fabulous shop {here}!!

Y'all this is a first! I don't know how I first found Golden Ponies, but once I did, I couldn't believe the high quality gorgeous products & low prices & immediately ordered a leopard envelope clutch that I wear allllll the time (see my outfits here). I am a Golden Ponies fan girl.

Of course, when I find something fabulous, I want to share it with you. So I reached out to Golden Ponies designer Erandi, & guess what, they want to make you a Golden Ponies believer too! Erandi has so generously given me this metallic snake print + blush pink clutch to pass along to you!

Happy Friday lovlies!

Cupid's Arrow

Monday was my date-night V-day style, but this is my "I'm-somewhat-of-a-professional-but-still-like-to-celebrate-holidays" look
{ What I Wore: J.Crew tippi sweater & cropped wool trousers // BaubleBar necklace // Kate Spade bracelet // ShoeMint Carol heels }
(*confession: I actually wore my black ballet flats with this outfit to work, as I didn't think my boss would appreciate these heels, but I had just gotten them in & knew that you would!)
{ Get the Look }
pink sweater {$39.50, exact} + red cropped pants {on sale for $39.99} + leopard heels {$39.99, exact} + black baubles {$42.00}
Happy February 15th, aka the day after Valentine's when my Facebook newsfeed is blowing up with engagements!
Ty & I had a wonderful evening at the Nashville Predators hockey game: 2-for-1 beers & grown men chasing a tiny puck are my kind of romantic! (oh, and the Preds won!)
Are you a big holiday celebrator?
With 2 holidays in one week, this I'll-pop-champagne-for-a-random-Thursday holiday lover was on cloud nine! (did you see my Fat Tuesday beads on Instagram?)

What did your Valentine's festivities include?
Is it bad that I love the date nights where you have the best laid plans, but the poorest executions?
Those sometimes epic fails can make for the best stories later!

P.S. I am linking up with Long Distance Loving for Friday's Fancies. See all the pink + red goodies over {here}
