Last week I made a spur of the moment decision to leave work & head down to home sweet Arkansas for the long Labor Day weekend... as I was driving, pugs in tow, I realized that I really liked what I was wearing & just had to document it.
These pictures were taken at the corner of a truck stop somewhere along I-40 West... I had to hurry before too many truckers started giving the girl with her tripod set up major side-eye looks... worth it!
This outfit makes me happy because once again it really is just jeans + a tee, but the special touches of a fun peplum & metallic loafers with a colorful statement necklace on top take this from grad school blah, to grad school chic!

ReplyDeleteJust curious, where are you from in Arkansas? I know you live in Nashville so I wasn't sure if it was somewhere close to that area or if you just moved a ways away. lol I'm from AR so it's just interesting seeing someone else from here. lol
ReplyDeleteI grew up in Hot Springs, AR went to college in Conway and then moved to Nashville in 2009 for grad school :) I love meeting fellow Arkansans too - such a great place to be from!

ReplyDeleteAh, I've heard of those places a lot but never been. I'm from Blytheville. (Perhaps not the best place to be from, as it's dubbed Mini Memphis. haha) Glad to know not all AR is like that!

Haha, I think I only took 10 pictures... Got in, got out! And I'm totally surprised that my face doesn't look bright red in these photos - it certainly felt like it was!

Ah, very cool. I always see signs for Blytheville while on the road but haven't ever been. Hot Springs is lovely - lakes, mountains, and horse racing! I don't know if I will ever move back, but I love visiting family there :)

Ok your "grad school" outfits are waaay too cute. This is practical but still so chic! I love those shoes especially (I think I say that everytime you wear them). Omg, give me that necklace please!!!

Yeah I know people go to Hot Springs a lot. I've never been but I hear really good things. :) My father is actually always trying to convince me to move to Nashville. lol His best friend lives there and he's always raving about it.
