For a plethora of reasons, I have largely refrained from personal clothes shopping for the past 6 months. With my job change I still just really don't know what I will need to be properly equipped & am trying to save up for a big "back to school" shopping trip in the next month or so.
However, earlier this month I found myself majorly wanting a new striped dress (keyword: want not need). My willpower was starting to wane until I realized that I could pair my J.Crew Factory tank & skirt together to create my own striped dress using what I already owned.
(Psst - J.Crew Factory is currently having an extra 50% off their clearance sale section!)
And if I was going to get a new striped dress, it would totally be the cute one with leather patch pockets below (& at under $50 I don't know if I will be able to resist for long!)
Have you ever created something totally new using items you already had in your closet?
Better than any shopping high if you ask me!
P.S. The $300 + gold foil print giveaway ends tonight!
That is so pretty! I love the stripes.

I am so loving matching separates right now! This is so cute! And loving this lip color on you, too!
ReplyDeletelove how you took the two items and made it in to a dress
ReplyDeleteJessica, I totally love it when you can find a skirt and shirt combo in your own closet that closely resembles a dress you have on your mind! Good job with the shopping restraints! If you didn't tell me these were separates, I wouldn't have known!

Yeah, so didn't realize it wasn't a dress at first. haha I had to scroll back and look closer. Did they come paired/matching on purpose or a happy coincidence? Looks good!
