Bloggers Who Budget: Fall Shoe Trends

My Fall/Winter skirt wardrobe centers around versatile black skirt options. I'm loving this faux leather skirt or this slighlty longer midi option! And don't even get me started on the suede fringe number that is totally calling my name!

Bloggers Who Budget is baaaack! This month we are teaming up with Sole Society to show you some budget friendly Fall shoe trends!

Leopard is pretty much a year-around staple in my closet, but it is extra luxe to add a punch of spots to your cooler weather outfits. These leopard heels have a low wedge and comfortable pointed toe, making them all day favorites - even when I'm teaching!

I'm OBSESSED with these sunglasses & you can enter to win your own pair here: Sunglasses Shop Designer Sunglass Giveaway

duplicates

{ What I Wore: J.Crew Factory dress (not currently available, but I'm pretty confident it will be back soon!) & leopard belt // lace up heels (old, similar linked up below) // Rebecca Minkoff purse // Ray Ban Aviator sunglasses (mine are the green + gold) }

I used to not believe in "duplicates", but as I have grown more into my style, I have found that if I love something it is usually worth getting a back-up! I have this dress in purple from J.Crew (see all the ways I've worn it here) & LOVE it, so when it popped up on J.Crew Factory in new colors, I new it was coming home with me! It makes a perfect work dress, but is also so versatile for many other occasions!
Do you believe in "duplicates"?

Everyone knows that Fall clothes are the best… everything else is just second tier.
But that unfortunately doesn't mean you can skip getting dressed in the Summer (#bummer).
So my plan? Get clothes that work for now, but will also really excel come Fall/Winter.
Already dreaming of pairing this dress with rich chocolate tights, a utility jacket, and tall boots - meow!
Do you have Summer clothes that are really Fall/Winter items? I won't tell!
P.S. Don't miss out on the 3 great giveaways happening right now:

hello honeymoon!

{ What I will wear on the honeymoon:  BB Dakota dressZappos // Rebecca Minkoff quilted purseZappos // Jack Rogers sandals // J.Crew Panama hat // BaubleBar necklace // vintage scarf, worn as belt (similar 1, 2, 3) }

It was literally freezing last night in Nashville (might be the only time I've used that word properly), but I'm already dreaming of the beaches in Antigua! Hello Honeymoon!

17 days till we get married, 18 days till our first vacation as Mr. & Mrs. (Ty asked me if I was planning to give him the countdown everyday… like he really had to ask!)
In fact, this entire outfit is already sitting in my luggage & has inspired the direction of my honeymoon attire. Because we are packing not only for a week in Antigua, but also a night in NYC + a week in Oregon, I need to figure out a way to pack minimal items with maximal outfit potential.

One way I am doing so, is by focusing on a restricted color - lots of white, blue & coral + neutral shoes (a la this outfit!)
The other way I'm packing light (light-er maybe, let's be real, I pack a LOT-o-stuff) is considering remix potential of each item. This dress + purse + shoes would be great for a beachside lunch at one of our resort's amazing looking restaurants (I might already have my meals planned out for the week too!).

But I plan on wearing this purse in its cross body style (seen in Monday's post) with a maxi dress for a day of shopping in town. And will snazzy up this beautiful white crochet dress with wedges for our backyard Oregon reception.

I love a scarf that functions as a belt, head scarf & sun protector + these classic Jack Rogers sandals go with everything (wanted to put literally in front of that, but refrained)!
Have you ever packed for 2 weeks… where do you even start?

Any one else looking forward to leaning heavily on their LWD (little white dress) this Spring & Summer?
Zappos has so many to choose from, see my top picks below:

best. weekend. ever.

{ What I Wore to brunch: Gap jean jacket // Erin Fetherson lip print dress via Rent The Runway // Steve Madden nude strap heels // Rebecca Minkoff purse ℅ Zappos }

Photos thanks to Shanna of Because Shanna Said So
I just got back from Austin, Texas where I had the most epic weekend for my bachelorette party! I am still recovering from our night out on 6th Street & will share all the details of our most perfect weekend soon!

My girls wrapped me up in love, spoiled me with some new frilly things to take on the honeymoon & kept the shots coming all weekend long.

Before heading out to brunch Sunday, I met up with Shanna the beautiful blogger behind Because Shanna Said So. Shanna was one of the first bloggers I connected with, in fact she was the winner of my first ever blog giveaway! We started our blogs around the same time & it has been a joy to be on this blogging journey together. Getting to finally meet her in person was just as I expected it - like 2 friends that have a long shared history, picking up right where we left off. I am so thankful for the friends in my life, the girls that I grew up with, the ladies from college, the ones I have made a life with in Nashville, & the talented women that I've met via blogging. My heart is so full.
How great is the print on this Erin Fetherson dress? I thought it was perfect for a bachelorette weekend & now I wish it was a print so I could hang it in my house!
How was your weekend?
