Back to School

What I Wore: Gap blazer, floral pleated skirt ℅ Gap Factory

I honestly don't know who is more nervous about back to school time - me or the kids! Last year was such a whirlwind, but now that I have had a year under my belt, I am getting excited to leverage what I already did, while planning for a great year ahead.

I have always been of the mindset that if you feel confident in what you are wearing, then you perform better. This is why I always dressed up for test days in college! As a teacher I think it is important for my students to see me as a "professional", and you better believe the notice when I roll out of bed versus taking a little extra time to put myself together (oh 13 year olds say the darndest things!). I'm not even a little bit embarrassed that my first day of school look is already planned!

Over the past year I have been working on beefing up my "professional" wardrobe, but my best pieces are the ones that I can wear at work with blazers & button ups, & then on the weekends with tanks & sandals. I am super thankful for the budget friendly pieces I find at Gap Factory. We have one at the Opry Mills Mall here in Nashville, but you can find the one closest to you using their Gap Factory Store Locator

This gorgeous floral skirt (love the pleats) is currently on sale & I can't wait to pair it with boots & sweaters when the weather starts to turn towards Fall. Also on my back to school shopping wish list: this striped jersey dress, blazer vest, pale pink moto jacket & open cardigan as all of those pieces would fit right into both my work & weekend wardrobes! Now that is a great value!

How do you create a versatile wardrobe for all the roles you have in your life? Remember, back to school shopping isn't just for kids! Be sure to sign up for Gap Factory emails at www.gapfactory.com and get 15% off your next purchase!
