Well I am glad that I let the Jessica fresh off 2 days relaxing on the beach in the French Riviera write this post, instead of the jet lagged Jessica who landed in France last week thirsty, hungry, sleepy and lost in the language barrier... jet lagged Jessica had all kinds of nasty things to say, but fresh off the beach Jessica was all kinds of impressed with France.
After 5 days of my scientific conference, priority number 1 was shopping! First stop Zara

Seriously, those of you who have access of one of these amazing stores on a regular basis - I am jealous... but not for your pocket book! I could have bought every single thing in there, but instead chose 1 item to be my France souvenir... can't wait to show you!
My first full day in Nice, I had quite the adventure meandering through the "Old Town" picking up Christmas presents for my family. The quaint stores, beautiful architecture and entertaining people watching was a great mix that made for a fabulous day of explorations.
Avenue Jean Médecin - big shopping damage could be done here! |
Place Messéna Fountain |
Galeries Lafayette - a 5 story department store, the French equivalent of Saks |
I even found the cutest French flat complete with a adorable poodle... sign me up!
Can't wait to share the rest of my Nice excursions, including the beach and how I ate my way through the city!
xx
Jessica

I have a Canon Rebel T2i with a 18-55mm lens, and a basic tripod that I got off of Amazon. I have only recently started getting the hang of my manual settings, and once I feel very comfortable setting each shot, I think I am going to upgrade my lens to a 50mm f/1.4 lens. Hope that helps!

Beautiful pictures, I can't wait to see more! I love the outfit too, so perfect for travelling, very chic!
ReplyDeleteI love your lace dress!! These are some gorgeous photos from Nice!! Jet lag and culture shock are never fun, but I'm glad you were able to get over them and have a wonderful time. When I studied abroad, there were TWO Zara stores on my way to class every day (and an H&M)...needless to say lots of my spending money went there. It's probably a good thing that I don't live near either store now. I hope you're adjusting well to being back home :)
ReplyDeleteyou look gorgeous in these photos! I love the sandals!

Your photos are looking amazing - you're really getting the hang of that new camera! What an amazing trip! And I felt the same about Zara when I was in Italy - could easily have bought the entire store, if only funds weren't an issue hehe :)

Fabulous outfit my dear! Looks like a great time & I'm so proud of you for keeping up with outfit photos there..nicely done!
ReplyDeleteWow! These pictures are stunning! You look so great in the white dress! Isn't Zara the best store? I always go crazy in there. They have really good basics (tanks, tees, etc) that wash well and don't fade. Can't wait to see the rest of your photos...
