When I was little, my grandfather (AKA "Pops") would slip me a $5 bill & tell me to not "spend it all in one place". I'm not sure Pops knew how much things actually cost, & I always ran out to spent it all (on Beanie Babies... let's be honest!)
Well, things haven't changed much. I got moolah (we call it "Daddy Cash") for Christmas, & I have already spent it all (half in my head & half in real life)...
Super excited that this new camera lens is on its way to me right this second!
You know I will over-share everything else about my new camera accessory when it arrives and I can get my grubby little mits all over it & check it out!
Are you a spend it all in one place kind of girl?
How about wear all of your Christmas presents in one outfit?
I'm raising my hand for both!
I like everything about your look here.....how those red pants nailed the whole look together!

I always spend all my money immediately it seems! I try and space out how I wear all my presents though (:

The second I get anything gifted to me I do one of two things: either wear it right away (and all together, like you!), or I keep it in the box for months on end and just stare at it because it's so pretty. Haha, neither really make sense, but oh well! Happy weekend, Jessica!

I love this look! I seriously need to breakdown and buy one of those schoolboy blazers, I've been wishing and hoping for too long! It looks gorgeous on you. And I can't wait to hear you spill on your new lens, I have been looking at that same one.
ReplyDeleteI bought a lens with my Christmas money too!!!

I love those shoes and they go so well with the pants.
ReplyDeleteHope you can check out my latest post. Hope you can find a minute and enter my giveaway to win sunglasses! www.nellecreations.com
Christmas cash, giftcards, birthday cash, etc. always "burn a hole in my pocket" as my mom says. All of my Xmas cash is gone, and I'm truly shocked that I still have an unspent Marshall's/ TJMaxx giftcard and some money left on my H&M giftcard.
ReplyDeleteLove the red pants and wedge booties!
Haha, I used to spend all my money on beanie babies too... I now have two tubs full of them under my bed :) Lovely :) HAHA!
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit! The blazer is so chic! Happy Friday! :) Hopefully I'll figure out a way to wear all of my Xmas gifts in one outfit this weekend :)
I love that camel blazer! I have a bunch of gift cards from the holidays...I am carefully plotted what clothes I'm going to get with them :)

Love those faux bangs and this outfit on you. This is such a classic look, one I would wear over and over and over....is the J.Crew school boy blazer on you a petite or regular? Trying to figure out if a regular or tall would be better for me?
ReplyDeleteThanks lady! Also, great question! I had told my mom that I was a 2P so that is the size jacket she purchased for me, and while it fit pretty good, I just popped into my local J.Crew store to try on the regular sizes before snipping the tags once and for all. I tried both the 2 and 0 regular, and the 0 was perfect. What made it better than the 2P? The arm length was just a smidge longer, and where the buttons hit on my chest was a more flattering height. I am 5'3" (mayyyybe 5'4" if I stand up really really straight) and that is what worked best for me! Hope that helps!

love this outfit! and i LOVE your hair - so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a "get too nervous to spend" kind of girl. I can spend my own money like it's no tomorrow but a gift card is sacred! It's difficult to make me part with it. It's kind of terrible! I don't know why I do that. Love these pants!

Haha, "grubby little mits".. how cute are you? When I get cash as gifts, I pretend to save it.. meaning, I put it in the bank immediately.. but then a day later I buy something new thinking I'm suddenly rich. So in the end, yes I do spend it all in one place!

Yes! Two posts ago I wore like four Christmas presents in one outfit. I was just so excited! Luckily for me I got a lot of clothes for gifts (all I asked for), so I have more to share! Haha. Anyway, I love this classic look! I have been living in my black Gap jeggings but I think I need to invest in red now! They look so great on you!
ReplyDeleteFun outfit!! I was waiting for a few after Christmas purchases to come in yesterday, so I wore as many as possible today! I usually like to spread them out though.

You look amazing as always! Obsessed with your hair/bangs. Adorable!!
ReplyDeleteYou're going to LOVE that lens. I steal it from my dad every time at home visiting.
ReplyDeleteI got cash also, and along with some blog income, used it to purchase myself a very nice desk chair. This must say something about how old I'm getting, that I'm focused on orthopedic comfort, haha.
Love your bangs!!!
ReplyDeleteI am a huge fan of the red denim + chambray combo! I wear it...probably too often! Love the look! It's so hard to not spend it all at once!

Sorry to be a total creep, but this looks like a school right by my house!! Could this be the Waverly-Belmont school?! And if course, super cute outfit! That blazer fits perfectly. Looks like you really did well for Christmas! Hope you're having a great week!

Um, I don't know what the name of it is, but I do sometimes take photos behind a school right off Belmont across the street from Lipscomb... is that the one you are talking about? It always looks abandoned to me, but that miiiight be because I am only ever there on the weekends when headed out to Green Hills.
ReplyDeletexx
Yes you DOOOO! Pretty sure I tried to wear mine to bed the other day!
ReplyDeletexx
Ah! That's a different one but I know exactly what you're talking about, us Lipscomb students park there everyday! It is a gorgeous photo spot, maybe I'll see you there sometime :)
