quality time in the kitchen

Summer-time calls for mornings spent at the Farmer's market, afternoons at the pool & evenings gathered around a bonfire with friends - leaving little time to spend in the kitchen! Plus, I always get so hot while cooking, so I like tricks that get me in, out & fed with as little time/effort spent as possible!

By stocking up on Summer essentials at Kroger I not only get all of my shopping list crossed off in one stop (saving time!), but I also get it all for less (saving money!)

When I find free time during the week, I like to prep a few items that will be tasty dinners over the days to come.

Having already cooked meal "bases" makes my dinner making motivation that much easier.
Things like risotto, quinoa, & plain pasta can quickly be transformed into full meals & are easy on my grad student budget.
Because let's be honest, I would rather save my money for clothes!!
shrimp & risotto - on the menu for this week! {via}
Greek pasta salad. A go to in our house, it gets better every day, but we usually eat it in the first 1-2 days! {via}
Feta + arugula quinoa. Delicious warm or cold! {via}
Shopping at Kroger means more time & money to spend enjoying the Summer!
Save time & money by building your digital Kroger shopping list based on your Summer menu (& take it with you using the Kroger mobile app!). And earn 2x Fuel Points to make your savings go further!

This week at Kroger save an additional $5 when you spend $25 on any paper, laundry, household cleaning, hair or oral care products!

What Summer meals make your life easier??

I am always looking for new, simple recipes!
