This dress is my ultimate work-to-play piece. I wore it to teach all day & then to the Dillard's handbag event I hosted at night. I'm still teaching in heels, but all the veteran teachers are telling me that that will end soon… I guess only time will tell.
Also, I'm going to go ahead & warn you guys that I might be absent from social media, blog commenting, or everyday updates over here for the next couple of weeks. We are now 25 sleeps out from the wedding & I am trying to enjoy these last few days as much as possible while getting all the things on my giant to-do list crossed off as well. I don't want to wish away any of these precious moments!
good luck with the rest of your wedding planning

You are so gorgeous! I love that dress, too! Have so much fun with the rest of your wedding planning and enjoy every minute leading up to (and of course, during, and after!) the wedding!
ReplyDeleteThe woman who teaches next door to me is 45, and she still rocks heels most days. In fact, her ability to wear them so well without toppling over blows my mind. (I'm always in a hurry and will face plant if I'm not careful.) Alternating between heels and flats is really your best bet. If I wear any type of shoe too many days in a row, my back will hate me. Plus, when you're a younger teacher, heels help to command the room. Truth.
ReplyDeleteLove this dress, so gorgeous! And what?! Your wedding is coming up so soon, I feel like it was just yesterday you talked about your engagement! So exciting!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you can feel relaxed and enjoy the days leading up to your wedding :)

Haha, yea I thought the dress might be a little too "Little House on the Prairie" based on the website photos alone, but was intrigued enough to try it out. Happy that it was a win after I got it on!

I definitely like the extra boost of confidence in front of the classroom that heels give me, but will be taking your advice about alternating shoe options too! Thanks for that great tip (and totally impressed with your fellow teacher!!)

I know right!? We have been thinking that too! I haven't shared much with the planning, but I'm not sure I will be able to hold back anymore after the big day. I hope you guys are ready for some wedding posts :)
