you know you're a redneck if...

{What I Wore: Thrifted Camo jacket {similar} // Everlane Tank // Lucky Denim shorts {similar $22} // Target wedges {these are so cute $32} }
if you love camo... and you're proud that you only paid $5 for a new camo work shirt/jacket
Camo is slated to be big again for Fall (a al Dawson's Creek and Dr. Martens... the 90s are back), but I wasn't ready to shell out the big bucks for this trend that I imagine will be as fleeting "flatforms" were this summer... so I have been keeping my eyes open for a steal of a deal at my local flea market and army surplus store
This past weekend I scored - I'm not sure legit army issue camo jackets come in XS, but actually love the over-sized tom-boy look of this camo gem balanced with fitted basics and girlie wedges.
Is camo on your shopping list for Fall?
Is camo country or chic?

  2. I think the gold big jewelry makes it work perf.ect.ly.

    And in TN you're allowed a dose of camo ;}

  3. Smart girl to get the camo on the cheap!  I'm with you, I won't spend a lot on a trend unless I think it'll be sticking around for quite a while.

  4. My BF has wanted a pair of camo cargo shorts forever but I always give him the "please don't" look. Don't tell him that I've been eyeballing a camo jacket from Zara though, hehe.

  13. Great look on you - you can totally pull this off perfectly but I think that not everyone can do camo as stylishly as you. I'm holding off for now - not sure if almost 40 is the right age-group for this look! Avril x

  16. Jessica, you would look cute in a garbage bag. Not that I'm making that comparison (camo jacket -> garbage bag) because I was slightly skeptical, but you're right, the proportions of this outfit are cute, and I love the girly wedges with the camo! I think it's a great idea! Love that man on the bike too :)

  19. I don't think I've ever rocked camo before, but you are looking adorable and down-to-earth in it today! Those wedges  really dress up the outfit. I think just about any print, if done right, can look chic.

  20. I recently thrifted a camo jacket/blazer and I plan to show a little  country chic.  Now,  it is the wedge sneaker trend that I will NOT be tempted to try!

  23. I'm with you--I'd love to add some camo to my closet, but if I do it will most likely come from the thrift store! I love the way this jacket adds some sass to a shorts and tee look!
