{ What I Wore: Old Navy vintage v-neck tee // Wallis pink trousers // ShoeDazzle silver pumps } |
{ Estarer jewels } |
I had my heart set on attending Nashville Fashion Week this year.
But the dreary weather & Ty's promise to take me to Lowe's to pick out wedding color paint chips derailed my plans.
I lead an exciting life, so I had already picked out my Fashion Week Opening Night outfit way too far in advance.
Far enough in advance to fall in love with this whole look & have to wear it somewhere!
For all the Nashvillians who gave the girl wearing hot pink MC Hammer pants in Kroger last week a long side-eye look, you're welcome.
I can't believe I have never been to an actual, factual fashion show!
Have you??
wow LOVE those trousers! they look amazing on u!

ReplyDeleteI've been to a couple... one here in Minneapolis and one when I was in college. My college has a really great fashion design program, so the show was actually really cool. I love these pants, they are so chic!
ReplyDeleteEek–those pink pants are everything! You look adorable–and your hair color is still looking fabulous!
ReplyDeleteLove your pants! I have black ones like them from F21 and love them! I have a tee just like that too. I would totally wear this look. And I had been planning on going to Memphis Fashion week last weekend, but went out of town to run my first half marathon. Can't believe I've never been to a fashion show either! = )

Actually, yes! I have been to a handful of actual factual fashion shows. My Mom was a hair model in the late sixties--history will record that Americans evidently planned to win the cold war through Bouffant Hair. I was a little girl, and extremely proud to see my beautiful Mom and her hair the size of my Barbie Dream House, and the flash of cameras to capture it all. I learned early that fashion shows are really just a bunch of people with similar interests enjoying their similar interests. They can be fun or boring or awkwardly competitive, depending on what you are looking for. BTW, while I'm here, let me just say that I really enjoy your blog! And I use your ideas sometimes, which is amusing considering I'm a middle-aged, midwestern, substantially-built lesbo with some ROCKIN' leopard skin flats. :o) I appreciate you. Keep writing.
ReplyDeleteI love how you dress, you are so beautiful!
