This look might be for the boys: baggy jeans, button-down shirt, thick leather belt... but I can't help but steal it for my own!
If someone were to ask me what is my favorite shirt style for day, the one I would love to stock my closet with, I would say - feminine silk blouses in every color and print
But instead, I have found myself with a closet full of button downs... so I guess I should work on embracing that (while working on building up my silk blouse collection)...
accentuating the positive: Button downs are year-round wearable, layerable, dress-up and down-able, and all around comfortable (especially when un-tucked!)... so I can deal
What is your ideal day shirt?
But what is actually in your closet the most??
Any other button-down girls out there?
xx

This is a really cute look, Jessica! I love comfy jeans and a good button down. I have a ton of v-neck fitted tees as well as a bunch of button downs in my closet. I would love to have some higher quality tops - the idea of silk blouses sounds lovely! Although that would probably require some more ironing haha :)
ReplyDeleteI love button up shirts. I have 4 in 3/4 sleeves and 5 long sleeves. I love them because they don't have to be put on over my head.
ReplyDeleteloving this casual look. the top is really pretty
ReplyDeletealways love a great plaid shirt! u look great!

ReplyDeleteOh yea - didn't think about all that ironing... Hmm, might have to invest in silk tops and some quality wrinkle release! ha

Love your button down -- I have been looking for one all summer that doesn't make me look like Farmer Joe. haha
ReplyDeleteFrom the amount of plaid I have been seeing in the blogging community, it really makes me think I need some in my closet down. I love the messy tuck and the cute rolled jeans. It feels so down-to-earth and casual, yet the wedges dress it up so nicely. Really cute outfit, Jessica!

So weird...my outfit post today ALSO features a half-tucked plaid button-down. It's the only plaid shirt I own. It's probably been over 10 years since I had one! But it's growing on me :)

I LOVE button downs. I know many girls aren't fans, but there are so many cute casual button ups out there (like chambray, my best friend).
ReplyDeleteOoh girl, you know I love me some chambray!
