{Get the Look}
Well shoot, the sun is leaving me earlier and earlier these days...
totally not grooving with this style blogger's ways
I typically try to get dressed early, take photos and then go about whatever I have to do.
But this past Friday, I took too long to get ready, and that silly Sun didn't wait for me.
Have any of you mastered the tricks of taking photos inside?
Do you stage photos on the weekends, or some other tips?
Or should I just hurry my tush up!?
I love Fall, but the sun needs to stay up longer!
At least my little fur buddy joins me when I am inside!

I know what you mean--the long daylight hours of the summer are perfect for picture-taking, but it's getting more challenging to get good outdoor shots. I try to do mine in the evenings, which works for now, but I'm not sure what I'll do when it starts getting dark right after work!!
ReplyDeleteIndoor or outdoor though, I LOVE this outfit--the mix of a casual tee with that funky skirt is perfection!
I take photos during the day on my break hahaha I know a lot of bloggers take them on weekends but that is just too much work for me lol
ReplyDeleteLove the simple t with skirt dear!
Your dog is such a cutie and I love the look he's giving you! He's like, "Um...what are you doing standing there and not petting me?" lol Cute cute outfit!!
ReplyDeleteLovely outfit! You are pretty! Awww and your dog is soooo cute! Have a great day! xX

The sun setting earlier is driving me nuts too! I try to take all of my blog photos on the weekend but sometimes I don't have the time so I'm forced to do them during the week. My photos look like total crap inside so I strive to do them all outside for as long as I can!

I don't know what I'm going to do when it's too dark to take my photos! The hardships of a fashion blogger :) Love this outfit! That graphic tee is great with the leather skirt!

I still have not figured out what I am going to do about cold weather photos. I don't get home early enough at night to catch the daylight, so I guess I'll have to squeeze photos in in the morning. I still haven't mastered indoor photography. Pics just always look better outside.

ReplyDeleteWow love this outfit! your legs are so long, so jealous. I have short stubby legs as well as hands. Man Hands. I love this outfit as well. I love how you dressed up the T-shirt! :)

It does get harder in the Fall. I do mine in the early evenings...but may have to start in the mornings now. ;) I really need that skirt...it is def one of my faves!
ReplyDeleteI agree - the sun needs to stay up longer! That's one of the saddest things about the winter... short days!
ReplyDeleteI'm home all day, so no tips on the photos themselves, but your dog is the cutest pug ever (and I'm saying this as a pug mama myself)! I like how you make the leather look girly :)
ReplyDeleteokay girl. you look AMAZING. wow! i love this outfit so much! and i mean this in the least creepy way possible, but you have killer legs!! dang!! how do you do it?!
ReplyDeleteAw thank you lady! I plan to do a post in the near future about all my blogging buddies with pugs... mind if I include you?

Aw thank you lady! I think it is mostly do to camera angle... I swear! I also am a VERY fast walker, and never stop moving.... that is pretty much my only work out regimens... unless laughing counts as well. Don't hate me!

I am stubby too... this I think is due to the magic of camera angles. To fit my whole self into the frame I had to rig the camera at this wonky angle... and I guess it elongated my 5'3" frame. But thanks!

Such an adorable look...love the mixing of leather with a casual tee! The flared pleated leather skirt style is my of-the-moment fave! Loving your puppy as photo shoot model :)

Seriously, I hate how the daylight hours are getting shorter and shorter. But you look SO SO adorable in this outfit. I just want to scoop you up and put you in my pocket. :)

Love your blog necklace.
ReplyDeleteI love Doug!! Cute look, Jess. I am terrified of having to take indoor photos in the winter. I never stage my photos. The pictures are what I'm actually wearing for the day/night. I only post a few outfit posts a week, so I try to take my pictures on Saturday/Sunday since I usually wear boring stuff through the week. xo

HAHA, Doug is so cute in these pictures! Unfortunately, I don't have a fancy camera and with it getting darker, I have a bad feeling my MacBook Pro pictures aren't going to cut it. Not sure what I'm going to do.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, you have KILLER legs! This is such an interesting mix of casual and trendy, but I think I really dig it out you. :-)

Oooh I love how you mixed the edgy leather skirt with a casual tee! Super duper cute! I have yet to master the indoor outfit photo... I usually try and get ready early in the morning and get a minute to snap some pics before running off to work, that or just photograph a couple outfits on the weekend to hold me over. But I don't post every day so I could see how that might be a challenge!
