{ What I Wore: H&M cap // J.Crew Factory sweater & skirt // Converse sneakers // (way way old) Victoria's Secret crossbody purse } |
This past Saturday I woke up with the sun (ok, 8 but that is EARLY for me on a weekend!), slapped a hat on my un-showered hair & headed out for adventures errands.
I found this adorable library & then I did something I never thought I would do...
I planted myself squarely in front of these stately columns & took pictures with me, myself & my tripod out in plain sight of all those crazy people running at such a unheard of hour.... stop. the. presses.
What have you done on your never thought I would ever list lately?
Love this outfit! Converse make any outfit instantly adorable and pairing them with a skirt is genius. Love this blog, I'll be back!

super cute outfit
ReplyDeleteIt's fun taking pictures of yourself with a tripod in the middle of town, isn't it? :) I do it in NYC a lot, but nobody cares around here. Too many other weird things going on! Love your errand running outfit, so fun!

You look stunning and who cares what people think lol
ReplyDeleteMy neighbors always gawk at me taking pics but I really don't care. If they ask i'll tell them

Love the polka dots and neon. You are much braver than I am with the camera action. I recently wore a big floppy hat in public for the first time - sounds like small change but it was way outside my comfort zone.

my tripod and i have made it as far as my porch. maybe one day!
ReplyDeletekelsey, Ladies in Navy Nordstrom Giveaway!
My next door neighbor likes to blatantly stare when I'm taking photos. At first I felt weird, but then I realized HE was the weird one! haha this sweater is too cute
ReplyDeleteI love the look of pairing converse with skirts or dresses–it's such a fun look!
ReplyDeleteyou have way more guts than I ever would! I barely have the balls to take pictures in front of my garage!
ReplyDeletealso, if you are ever looking for a smaller, less obvious tripod, I've been using the gorilla pods, which is great for not having it seem so obvious about a tripod, and people may not notice ;)
Love the look! And yay for taking pictures on your own! I feel uncomfortable even with a photographer there so I'm not sure if I'd be able to do that!

Weekend outfits are always fun for fashion bloggers because we have to be trendy BUT comfortable. I love this look :)

Girl, you've got balls, and I'm not just talking about the ones on your sweater (which is adorable btw).

You are a brave, brave soul. And so glad the pictures turned out really nice!
ReplyDeleteI totally just snorted at your comment, Sarah :)
ReplyDeletelove the look, that pop of color is really cute
ReplyDeleteYamileth,
I'm a little too shy to do that! I've taken photos in areas where its more secluded with my tripod, and you get the occasional person walking by. If they ever ask? Oh its a photography project haha.

I think people are a little more suspicious of my behavior in Nashville, but I am doing my best to cultivate a "who cares" attitude! But seriously, what a rush!
ReplyDeletexx
Thanks lady! I have started keeping biz cards on me when out & about being creepy with my tripod, makes me feel a bit more legit! haha
ReplyDeletexx
Thanks! I think that a floppy hat in public is totally brave, but also equally fun! Get it girl!
ReplyDeletexx
Baby steps! I usually hide out in my alley, & figured since my creepy neighbors spy on my there anyways, I my as well venture out & find some better scenery!
ReplyDeletexx
You are so right, that is definitely stage 1 creeper activity!
ReplyDeletexx
Thanks lady! So comfy to boot!
ReplyDeletexx
Thanks for the suggestion lady! My tripod is a 72" behemoth & I often wish I had one a that was a little less conspicuous! I really can't believe that no one can spot my nervous jitters in these pictures... it certainly was a rush!
ReplyDeletexx
Aw, thank you so much! I am all about trying to achieve cuteness while not sacrificing comfort!
ReplyDeletexx
Awesome! Great minds DO think alike ;)
ReplyDeletexx
The hat definitely helps to class up this outfit, nobody wants to be seeing my greasy hair ;)
ReplyDeletexx
You are my muse! I always chant to myself, "If Krista can do it, so can I!"... over & over :)
ReplyDeletexx
Thanks lady! I took them real quick then ran back to my car... that still counts as bravery, riiiiight!?
ReplyDeletexx
As my first time, it was tough, but then after the fact, I felt pretty positive about it... hoping this is the first of many new adventures in tripod photography!
ReplyDeletexx
Haha so true! I am all about achieving cuteness without sacrificing comfort!
ReplyDeletexx
You always have the best/most hilarious comments... the pugs are looking at me strangely for snort-laughing so hard right now! And just for the record, I ran to my car like a little baby afterwards... classy lady!
ReplyDeletexx
Me too!
ReplyDeletexx
Thank you! And thank goodness the pictures turned out ok, if I had done that only to see that the pictures were crap... oh man, the horror!
ReplyDeletexx
haha, so true! My neighbors must think I have a bunch of projects for my "photography class"... I have totally used that story before!
ReplyDeletexx
Aw, thanks lady!
ReplyDeletexx
Thanks lady! It was a goal that I have had for awhile, hoping that it is the beginning of some new found bravery!
ReplyDeletexx
Thank goodness for hats on lazy weekends! Thanks lady :)
ReplyDeletexx
Awe! That made me smile! It will be great to run into you while we are both taking pics! lol
ReplyDeleteYou are so brave to take photos out in the open like that! Love the converse and baseball cap - I wore this sweater on my blog this week too, and I'll definitely try dressing it down like this next time. -Amanda
ReplyDeleteThis look is so cute! I really love that hat on you!

Did people give you weird looks or did they just move on? Good for you for being so brave! And I love the outfit, fun look for running errands :-)

I LOVE this outfit on you! I'm not sure that I could pull off the Converse but I totally love that you can completely rock them!

I love how relaxed but polished this look is, Jessica! There's something so cute about a pencil skirt and Chucks, I think :)
ReplyDeleteI agree! Something about that Cali-cool look (even if I am landlocked and lame in TN!)
