summer skin saver

Last month I shared that I am in a bit of a beauty rut-ine... as in I purchase the same products time after time without actually considering if they are the best for my hair/skin/wrinkle prevention etc. You guys were amazing and gave me some FAB-u-lous feedback about rockstar products you use (seriously if you are looking for new beauty products read the comments on this post

Since then, I have made several changes in my life style:
started riding my bike to work
purchased a share in a CSA that brings local, fresh veggies to my door each week
and now use a skin serum day and night

I would have to say that my skin over the last month has been clearer, softer, and to me, even more radiant (I even skipped concealer this morning... which is a big freaking deal in my book).

So even though I am a scientist who would prefer to only change one variable at a time in order to pin point the source of radiance in my skin... I pretty much mucked with everything I could at once (diet, exercise, skin supplement)

But because gluten-free diets and biking to work don't come in a bottle, I thought I would share with you a bit of radiance that you can purchase for yourself: Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Supplement
At $67.00, I think this is actually an expensive product (maybe because I never buy advanced skin solutions and/or only use free samples!), but in my experience TOTES worth it!

The Bobbi Brown website claims that this product, "improves skin's appearance as it helps prevent the visible signs of aging...."
and "helps clarify and brighten the complexion"
With only 4 weeks of use bringing out "firmer, smoother, more even-toned and radiant"
Um, yea all of that for $67.00!? Sign me up
(and the bottle is huge, and only a few drops are required morning and night)

  1. Wow lots of changes! Kudos to you :) Thank you for the review... I am always looking for the best even if it is an investment, like you said if it actually works and you only have to use a little, it makes complete sense! :)

  6. You could probably go by your local Bobbi Brown counter and try out a sample... the small sample was enough to give me noticeable results over a week or so!

  7. I am trying to wrap my mind around the fact that sometimes spending a little more on my skin (which I have to wear for the rest of my life) is worth skipping that extra clothing purchase!

  10. Glad to read you are making positive changes in your life!

I've found that diet has a huge effect on not only your internal health, but as well as on your skin and overall feeling of wellness.  I switched to the Paleo diet (which is compatible with the gluten free lifestyle) and it has been the best health-wise decision I've ever made!

  11. I might have to try it. Not too expensive to pay if it makes you love your skin! & good on you for the bike riding/shares/ eating healthy. I would love to get a little  more like that ;)

  12. LOVE anything Bobbi Brown... Her night cream is AMAZING in the summers and is super moisturizing! I'll be going down to the comment section to check out everyone's recommendations! Nothing better than hearing people's personal experiences! How's the gluten free thing going? I've thought about it.... but not sure how big of a sacrifice it'd be :/

    Happy Fourth!

  13. I've heard this stuff is good but I've never wanted to spend that much on one facial product. Thanks for confirming it's awesome! :)
