swimsuit cover up: the tunic

Good thing my boss doesn't know that I blog... so he won't ever know that I skipped out on the afternoon to go lounge by the pool. Post-pool shenanigans are always possible, so I love throwing on my favorite tunic, crisp shorts and girlie bow sandals.
Perhaps inspiration for your post 4th of July pool party ... nothing like a little tunic action to class up the joint!
{What I Wore: Tunic & Shorts J.Crew, Steve Madden sandals (love these) }
A beautifully made tunic is definitely on my closet staples list... something to invest in and enjoy for years. Mine comes from J.Crew and I purchased it after getting my acceptance letter into grad school - clothes that are well made and remind me of a life milestone are pieces that will remain in my wardrobe as I transition from grad school to "grown-up"

These are some of my favorite tunics available now. Tory Burch has fabulous but pricey tunics... you are paying for a classic tunic that has unique and hand-crafted details. Victoria's Secret, and Piperlime also currently stock some wonderful tops that are more friendly on the pocketbook.

Happy Shopping!
What is your go-to swimsuit cover up?

  22. I love this tunic,  it looks great on you. I think tunics aren't for every body type but, you look awesome! HaHa about the boss;) My idea to start blogging was precipitated by my department chair wanting to borrow my clothes for an event at a nearby university.  So, she's been abroad but, I can't wait to show her where she can get fashion/style tips on any day!
