I know that it probably isn't everyone's cup of tea, but growing up in the South (SEC Country), game day means dressing up. Because playing beer pong with your mom is just classier in a cocktail dress & pretty heels!
So tell me, what does you game day attire look like?
P.S. Today is the last day to enter to win a $100 store credit to Fringe & Lace (where this pretty dress hails from!)
LOVE this dress!
ReplyDeleteI always wear my jersey on game day
ReplyDeleteOMG. that burn!! ouch ouch ouch ouch ouch
ReplyDeleteHere in Big 10 country, game day attire (in football season anyway) is a sweatshirt and jeans! In Bloomington, IN, partying is an all-day affair so comfort is key. And it's colder here...so there's that. I'm not a fan of the South as a region, but I'm definitely in favor of dressing up for sports!

This is beautiful! Probably one of my favorite things of yours! So sorry about the burn! And to answer your question- crimson and houndstooth all the way. Roll Tide, baby! ;)
ReplyDeletethis dress is darling and you look great in yellow!
ReplyDeletekw, ladies in navy
I have a burn spot on my right leg in almost the same spot from my husband's motorcycle. I feel your pain! Those things are gross, nasty and hurt! And it'll leave a nasty scar.
ReplyDelete1. I think this is one of my favorite looks on you, I saw it in my bloglovin feed and had a OMG moment about it.
ReplyDelete2. I would guy the "coffee date" sweater!

Eek! That burn looks painful!! But your dress is gorgeous =)
ReplyDeleteYUP! I would like the world to know that I was a responsible rider & was wearing pants, but since I am so clumsy I managed to trip will standing beside the bike scratching my leg after a ride... freak accident, but I won't be letting that happen again. OUCH!

I grew up in PA - it's always cold during game day season here, but if I lived somwehere warmer I'd wear the Sweetest Thing dress from Fringe and Lace (I might wear it anyway - just with tights and booties!)
ReplyDeleteI would get the keeping it cozy sweater and the triple threat necklace in grey-so pretty!

What is your team?? The dress looks great!
ReplyDeleteI <3 Syracuse where my son plays football even though I'm a So Cal gal........so it's always Orange for me!!
This was for a Vandy Game - Black & Gold/Yellow for the Commodores! I cheer for Vandy because I'm here now, but MY team will always be the Arkansas Razorbacks. Woo Pig Sooie!

Yellow is my ABSOLUTE favorite:) Love the dress!
ReplyDeleteAdorable game day look! I went to Mizzou who is new to the SEC (as I'm sure you know), and we don't dress up this much yet! But I do try to wear cute casual stuff in our colors!
ReplyDeleteOh no, motorcycle girlfriend/fiancee/wife problems! Sorry to hear about your burn, 3rd degree is so scary! For me, just a very small portion of the larger burn area blistered. I had it checked out & the doc said 2nd degree. I've been putting ointment on it while it healed, & lots of vitamin E now that the skin is resealed... fingers crossed for a total erasing of this painful memory from my skin!

Looking Fab as always! :)
ReplyDeletehaha you Alabama girl! I revealed to an acquaintance that I had a style blog yesterday, & they said, "You mean like Katie from Hems for Her!?"... I loved it & thought you would too!
ReplyDeletexx
I'm rarely a fan of yellow but this whole outfit looks fab on you!! Love the shoes!
ReplyDeleteAnd I hope your calf heels soon! Yet another reason I will never get on a motorcycle. haha
I love this and I love it even more because it's your game day outfit! I may just need to start wearing cocktail attire to game days!

Sexy lady! My first thought when I saw that last photo was that you had gotten a bright red calf tattoo, haha!
ReplyDeleteBahaha! That made my week! I love it :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, Syracuse Orange, that's my home team! Gotta get a Northern plug in there somewhere!
ReplyDeleteOuch, Jessica! Get some Aquaphor, it is doing wonders for my radiation burns.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but did you actually GO to the game? It seems normal for Vandy fans to tailgate the heck out of a game, and then not actually go. I was there! I enjoyed it - except for the actual game part...
ReplyDeleteI do like your outfit, although I was always the 1 Vandy fan dressed in black and gold casual wear! :-)
Yup, I tailgated the heck out of a gorgeous Saturday & then walked back home to watch the game from the comfort of my own couch :) watching Vandy in the stadium is just too depressing! xx
ReplyDeleteThat was probably a good game to watch at home!
ReplyDeleteouch x 100! The first week was the worst - showering, sleeping, wearing clothes, you know those things society asks me to do everyday were just so miserable! Now that the skin has sealed itself back up, I am a lot less whiny & hopeful that the scar won't be too extensive! Come fix me up Dr. Franny!

The key here is to drink until your feet don't hurt from the heels :)
ReplyDeleteI have to say, my fiancé wasn't super keen on the South, but I showed him differently... you never know!
xx
Thank you dear! Crazy to think that I used to think it unflattering, now I can't get enough!
ReplyDeletexx
Aw thank you dear! I wish I had more reasons to wear pretty dresses in my everyday life, but tailgating will have to suffice for now :)
ReplyDeletexx
Thanks! Hopefully they balance each other out :)
ReplyDeletexx
Ooh that dress with tights & booties would be so darling!! I say go for it!
ReplyDeletexx
Maybe the SEC will rub off on you guys! I just remember lots of yellow & bead necklaces when I was at the Mizzou v. Ole Miss game a few years back!
ReplyDeletexx
Aw, thank you my sweet friend!
ReplyDeletexx
Thank you dear! I am changing my mind about yellow lately too!
ReplyDeleteI have to say, I am very thankful that my fiancé is so responsible on his bike. I had never ridden one before I met him & he calmed all my fears. My injury is just because of my own clumsiness! I swear, I could hurt myself brushing my teeth ;)
xx
Thanks lady! Gotta bring a little class to the beer pong table ;)
ReplyDeletexx
Thanks! This color has been growing on my lately, so I decided to just take the whole plunge!
ReplyDeletexx
Yea, it certainly didn't feel good! The sunshiny color takes my mind off of it though :)
ReplyDeletexx
Thanks lady! I never really wore a lot of yellow, but it certainly has been growing on me as of late!
ReplyDeletexx
haha, no tattoos for me - hopefully this mark is a lot less permanent!
ReplyDeletexx
Lady, you seriously are such a warrior - I am definitely going to be taking that advice!
ReplyDeletexx
I love the front and the back of this dress! Usually with a backless dress, the front is plain, but the lace is so fab! Hope your burn heels soon!!

You're welcome! I used to utterly abhor yellow and orange and now I find myself drooling over orange polishes or stuff like that. Being an artist I can appreciate colors but now I'm actually starting to like them. They're still my least favorite, but I don't mind them anymore. haha
ReplyDeleteI would never ever ever trust my guy with one! He's so reckless. It's good your fiance is responsible! :) And hah me too! I always wake up with bruises all over my legs. I swear I must kick myself crazy while I sleep. lol
Hey girly- I totes burned my leg on a motorcycle muffler in high school. I put vitamin E on it religiously (I bought the gel caps and squeezed 'em). No joke - you can't even tell I had a burn. You should give it a go!
ReplyDeleteThanks lady - totally going to be trying that! Of the original burn, I'm only worried about ~10% of the area leaving a scar, but best case scenario would be wiping this entire incident off my body! xx
