I am so excited that the Bloggers Who Budget series is going to be a monthly thing from here on out. Budget fashion makes me excited. Regardless of what "budget" is for you, getting the most bang for your buck in general really gets me giddy. Whether it be a $300 purse that you wear everyday & lends an extra polish to anything you pair it with, or a $50 {faux} leather jacket that saves you during a unusually long Winter.
For me it is this striped knit dress. The knit is nice & thick and it is just so easy to throw on and go. Today I'm layered up with a turtleneck, the knit dress, & a chambray shirt. Paired with my favorite hat/scarf/glove combo & my all weather boots, this outfit is warm & unfussy.
Also, I can't be the only one, but jeans just aren't warm to me. My legs are much toastier in a close fitting tight/legging situation. Although, at this point, I've kind of just accepted the fact that I'm going to be a little cold.

It's been a hot minute since a pug has made an outfit photo, so Scout wanted to pop in & say HI!
What have been your go-to layering pieces this Winter?
Anyone else using their dogs for body heat at this point?!
What a great look! I always think of chambray as more summery, so I love the way you've adapted it for winter!
ReplyDeleteAnd can I just say. . . your pug is ADORABLE.

You look so toasty, cozy and adorable!! Up until the last few days, because it got much warmer, I have been a layering maniac. And I agree, I am much warmer in tights/leggings than denim. Stay warm, pretty!

Love your outfit. Always love when a dress is turned into a skirt with the help of chambray. Cute blog, too :)

Yes! I"m always still cold in jeans! By the way, I am mentally noting all your winter layering tips because this Florida gal will be moving to Upstate New York and needs all the help she can get!!

I just said to someone today how I feel warmer in a skirt/tights/boots than I do in jeans during the winter! Great layering combo.
