wedding vanity

As of Monday we are T-minus 90 days till the Big Day, the day I say "I DO" to forever with my best friend. Tyler & I could not be more excited about having all of our family & friends join us in Nashville for the nuptials, & want the day to be "us". Well, I want to be me, just like, my best me, you know? Enter my wedding beauty routine (in the name of complete & total vanity!)
what do I want to achieve & what am I using:
Long lashes. Getting Latisse was too hard, so I snagged some {1} neuLASH & have been using it for 7 weeks. Not sure about the results, they might just be too gradual for me to notice. Side-by-side before & after coming soon.

Bright, clear skin. This is a 1-2-3 punch. I use both the {2} enzymatic face rejuvenator & {3} foamingly clean with my {4} Clarisonic "Mia" & love the results. My skin is softer & with less blackheads than ever before. (blackhead are my biggest complexion complaint)

Long mermaid hair. My hairdresser asked me what I wanted to do with my hair for the wedding & I said "mermaid curls"… {5} biotin pills are helping me get there!

Pretty nails. I'm a cuticle/nail chewer (a nervous/anxious habit & there is plenty of both of those in wedding planning/anticipation). I keep my fingers slathered in {6} cuticle crème & have standing appointments to get {7} gelac polish every two weeks until May. Together my fingers are actually looking like they haven't been attacked by zombies (their normal state).

Supple skin. Face gets {8} Bobbi Brown Intensive skin supplement & the body gets {9} Clarins exfoliating scrub. I'm smooth like a baby.

Blindingly white smile. {10} le duh.

I also think that Groupon is getting freakishly good at predicting what I want/need… so I might have signed up for a couple of fitness classes too.

Ok, so I'm a silly girl, but those wedding pictures are FOR LIFE! And yes, this strict regimen is most likely going out the window on May 3rd. Hopefully after that I can get by with the post-honeymoon joie de vivre glow.

P.S. I have two AWESOME giveaways going on right now:
- Enter to win a Half United necklace {here} (part of the conscious consumerism series)
- Enter to win 1 of 2 $75 Belk gift cards {here}

  1. Girl, I totally feel you–I think every woman wants to feel their best/most confident on their wedding day. I have the same nail issues you do–it's a serious struggle for me not to chew at them (gross, I know!).

  2. I had no idea that O.P.I. Gel nail polish. So going to have to find it and try it out

  3. I love biotin! It has helped my nails and hair so much! We are on the same time line for our wedding in Nashville! 3 months from this past Monday! I have been eating better for weight loss (health wise and wedding, this will continue after the wedding) and working on getting my KP under control with lotions. I am going to try a self or spray tan to help hide it as well. When you pay so much for pictures you want to look your best! Besides, how many days in your life is it all about you? You want to be confident and sometimes being a little vain before hand can help a little.

Also, I always found with the best places your gel should last 2.5 to 3 weeks. If you get the design with the half moon at your cuticle in a sparkly color (I got gold glitter last time) it hides the growth well.

  4. That Visanti face scrub is SO nice! I still have my sample from Birchbox, and it's going strong. You barely need any to see results! And yes x1000 to whitestrips. Our local college has a dental program that sells the maximum strength strips (the ones they have in dental offices) for a discount. If you can get your hands on those, they're amazing!

  6. I had similar beauty goals pre-wedding! I skipped the Latisse, however, and just practiced wearing false eyelashes (which I got pretty good at)!

  7. The clarsonic mia was one of my best beauty investments, I don't think anyone has had bad results!

  9. Wow girl you have an amazing routine nailed down! I can't believe it's only 90 days until you're wedding...that's SO exciting! I'm so behind the times because I've yet to try a Clarisonic although I've only heard amazing things about them!

  11. Sounds like you have armed yourself with some pretty good weapons! I've been going nuts with hand and cuticle creams myself, lately. The winter weather is making me hands feel like they're falling apart! I've always wondered about whether or not I should get a Clarisonic Mia...

  12. Oooh everything on this list was on my wedding preppers list too, especially the "blindingly white smile". I actually went to my dentist to get my teeth bleached, no it's so white it glows. hehehehe. Looking forward to reading more about your wedding plans. Congrats!

  14. Wow, that's crazy that we are on the same wedding schedule, small world!
I haven't thought about my tanning situation - will definitely be adding a spray to the list :)
Also - the frequent polish changes are because of me, not because of the longevity of the gel. I can only look at the same color for so long! ha
