Um... I know you don't want to hear about the weather anymore... but these 100 ˚F+ temps are pretty much ruling my life right now....
So instead of talking about the weather, I am pretending I am at the beach (I mean... why not!?)

Growing up, my family vacationed at Orange Beach, Alabama along the Gulf Coast every summer. Between the sugar white sand, icy blue waters, and dolphin sightings every morning it has always been a highlight of my summer. After a long day at the beach, my sun-kissed skin always craves light, cool fabrics (chiffon, linen, and soft cottons)
The perfect post-sunset beach outfit for me is: linen sweater + worn in shorts + easy sandals (perfect for pulling off and walking barefoot along the cool sands!)
These are actually my first pair of "designer" denim circa 2003 that I turned into shorts when the knees finally gave out, and now they are the softest pair of denim I own!

ReplyDeleteLet me see...beach outfit: 1st and most important - bikini ( you never know when you will feel like swimming), a bright pink tank and denim shorts and some nice accessories like my newest bracelets to finish the look!

That outfit is perfect for the beach! Chic, cool and comfy. I hear you on the temps ... it's been 108+ here and the monsoon season just started, so it's humid too. Ick. I don't like my knees, so my perfect beach outfit is cool linen pants and a striped tee ... long or short-sleeved depending on the weather. Hang in there and have a great weekend!

Oh girl, I am totally not typically a bermuda shorts wearer either... these are old skinny jeans, and I think that because they are body hugging as opposed to baggy around the knees (not a super attractive part of my body that I want to accentuate) they work better than any other pair I have ever tried on it stores... might want to give it a shot if a pair of your skinny jeans ever gets ratty on the bottom! Ooh Mexico... I want to dream of being there too! My bf took me to a beach in Oregon last year, and when he told me to wear pants and a rain jacket, I was confused as to where we were actually going! I guess that is why they call it the "shore" and not the "beach"!
