smarty pants


If you overheard me talking on the street, you would probably think I was a total airhead... whys that? Because this is a list of my 10 most commonly used words/phrases:
1. perf
2. le duh
3. adorbs
4. totes
5. gorge
6. cray
7. Oh. Mmm. Gee.
8. for surz
9. nom
10. Shut. Up.
Translation:
1. perfect
2. of course
3. adorable
4. totally
5. gorgeous
6. crazy
7. wow
8. yes
9. eat
10. Wow, Really?, no way (really a quite flexible phrase!)

{ What I wore: J.Crew printed shorts // Cole Hann leather tennis shoes // DIY hairbow }
Is that normal? I swear I am intelligent, and am working towards my Ph.D. in Biomedical Research, so one day you can call me Dr. Jessica... le duh!~

    Now I know! I thought there was some bio background in there, even though I think I had you pegged  more for Neurobiology ;)  Thanks for wearing those giraffe (?) printed shorts; I was eyeing a summer top I have in a very similar print and was wondering if they were still cool...now I know for surz, they are,  le duh! (somehow it just doesn't seem as cool coming out of my mouth/keyboard).

    I have been criticized for my overuse of "totes."  My friends are always wondering if I really am an attorney and if I've ever used totes in a brief.  I have not...yet.

    Love this casual outfit, and your hair and pup are absolutely adorable!  I've got to try that 'do. Yeah, if you ran into me on the street you might not guess that I'm halfway through a PhD either. ;)  But in the lab? Watch out.

    I love your shorts! They're totes adorbs ;) I sound like a big airhead sometimes, too, but I like to imagine that I'm entertaining the people around me that way :)
    Also, I'm coming to steal Doug. Yoshi and I are driving across the country and kidnapping him because he's too cute and they need to start a pug modeling agency together.

    Thank you lady! It is quite enjoyable to talk like a ditz, and I even have the bf picking up a couple of my crazy phrases too!
    There is no way you could pry Doug out of my crazy pug lady fingers, but I def agree that Yoshi and Doug would be totes adorbs together, and would totally make bank at their pug modeling agency :)

    Hahaha I have the same thoughts sometimes - from some of the things I do (um *cough* fashion blog *cough*) you wouldn't think I was almost through my law degree haha! I guess it's all about balance :)

    Well, having a certain mannerism or way of talking definitely would not mean you are not intelligent. We can't judge people, right? I know many people who are really intelligent yet when they're away from their studies or work, they are quite different from how they should be professionally'
