Good morning! Continuing my week of embracing closet staples.
I hope you are all on the same page as me, in that closet staples are staples because they help stretch the life of your fun, inexpensive, trendy pieces, but stand by you year after year.
Take this new J.Crew maxi skirt... I mixed up it by pulling the skirt up to my armpits to make it a jersey dress, and threw a closet staple on top... the blazer
done and done
Blazers are perfect year 'round, and during the summer months I find myself craving a simple white blazer, as well as light bright colors to throw over flimsy sundresses and shorts
I will take any of these colors to add to my basic blazer collection of white, navy & black

{ What I wore: J.Crew maxi skirt (similar here & here) // Urban Outfitters blazer (similar) // Kate Spade belt (I think I need this matching purse!) // Target wedges // House of Harlow bracelet }
Are blazers work horses in your closet like they are in mine?
What color blazer are you craving this season?
Happy hump day!

I have been on the search for a more "spring appropriate" blazer. Light weight and maybe white or light pink. I wear blazers all the time. I don't do cardigans, actually. Blazers or nothing for me!!

Such a good idea! I haven't even thought about that... I'll be staying tune for lots of closet staples as I start my new job and need some casual/cute things for work! Love keeping up with your blog :) Hope you're having a great week!

Blazers in fun colors are the best. Forever21 actually has amazing colored/structured/open/closed blazers. I recommend it! I have one in red and one in black with great cuffable sleeves. :) Loving your style-ingenious outfit here.

I loooooove a good blazer! But I can never seem to get myself to purchase one when I see them in the store. I have a hard time visualizing what I'll wear it with. Although that problem isn't limited to just blazers unfortunately...I feel like I need to bring pictures of everything in my closet so I know what I have to pair stuff with before I buy. It's too hard trying to remember everything!
ReplyDeleteGreat remix of the maxi! I actually posted about my love for white blazers today too - so weird! And those colorful ones in your pin are amazing, I'm dying for a great colored blazer!
ReplyDeleteLOVE your white blazer with that cute little belt!
ReplyDeleteLove this look! I'm pinning it so I remember to copy it :)
